MARÍA IZQUIERDO

Dr. Maria Izquierdo-Pulido, pharmacist and dietician-nutritionist, is Professor of Nutrition at the University of Barcelona and researcher at the Institute for Nutrition and Food Safety Research at the “Campus de l’Alimentació de Torribera” of the University of Barcelona. She is a Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia and Full Academician and Honorary Member of the Spanish Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been director of the Department of Nutrition, Food Science and Gastronomy of the University of Barcelona.

She leads the research group on precision nutrition and chrononutrition. She is the author of more than 120 publications in prestigious international scientific journals and is responsible for national and international research projects.

She is included in the list of the most important resident researchers in Spain, according to the H Index Dissemination Group. She has been a researcher at the University of California (Davis and Berkeley, USA), at the Linus Pauling Institute (Oregon, USA) and at the University of Auckland (New Zealand).
