Cristina holds a PhD in economics and business studies (1993) from the University of Barcelona. Degree in economics and business (1988) and insurance actuary (1988). He has taught at the Universitat de Barcelona, the University of Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico), the Technological Institute of Higher Studies in Monterrey, campus Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico), the Aita Academy (Singapore), the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Escuela Superior de Comercio Internacional and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, among others.

She has worked designing life insurance products for several entities in the sector. She has been a pension consultant and judicial expert in the quantification of compensation in case of accidents and the valuation of pension commitments. So far, it has been Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at EAE Business School.
