David Figueras

David Figueras i Pérez (Barcelona, 1968), a graduate in Geography and History from the University of Barcelona and a doctoral candidate in Art History (currently working on his doctoral thesis), is editorial manager of Planeta Gastro since its creation in 2015 where he has already published more than 130 titles, and publisher of Grupo Planeta since 2001.
He has been a member of the jury for the Master’s Degree in Publishing at the Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona School of Management (2014), member of the jury for the Gastronomic Short Story Prize of the publication Con Mucha Gula (2021, 2022 and 2023), speaker for the Master’s Degree in Gastronomic Communication and Journalism at the Basque Culinary Center (2022 and 2024), mentor for the Master’s Degree in Publishing at the Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona School of Management (2024) and has been chosen by Tapas magazine as one of the most influential people in the gastronomic world of the year (2020 and 2023).
