Head of Product Development and R&D of Grup Ametller Origen; Barcelona, Spain
He was born in Bilbao, where from an early age he developed a deep passion for the hospitality industry. Determined to pursue a career in this field, he graduated in Hospitality Business Management from the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Bilbao (ESHBI). After several years of work experience, the company he was working for offered him a decisive opportunity: to open a new restaurant in Barcelona, leading him to make the decision to settle permanently in the city.
Throughout his professional career, he has worked for a wide range of companies in the gastronomic sector, both in restaurants and hotels. He has been part of renowned restaurant groups such as Grupo Bilbao Berria and Grupo Cacheiro, where he stood out for his ability to manage operations and his strategic vision in the culinary field. He also collaborated with hotel groups such as Grupo Best Hotels, holding leadership positions in the Food and Beverage (F&B) area and serving as a culinary manager.
His passion for teaching led him to share his knowledge and experience as a professor for six years at the Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Barcelona (ESHOB), where he inspired new generations of professionals. Committed to continuous improvement and learning, he decided to broaden his horizons by completing a Master’s in Food Quality and Safety, along with specialized courses in the food industry, consolidating his knowledge in this constantly evolving sector.
Three years ago, he joined Ametller Origen, a leading company in the field of healthy and sustainable food, assuming the role of Product Development and R&D Manager. In this position, he leads the development of new product categories, both ambient and refrigerated, and rigorously supervises quality standards.
