MUJERES EN GASTRONOMÍA
MEG was born in October 2018 with the aim of becoming a platform from which to fight for equity and make visible female talent in the gastronomic sector, through actions and activities at national and international level, creating a space for networking, collaboration and synergies that promote new business, academic and scientific projects.
In addition, to develop its corporate social responsibility work, collaborating with entities and academic institutions, from where to offer their support, in the improvement of health and nutrition, sustainability in gastronomy and responsible consumption.
In this way, for the first time a group of women experts is brought together to reflect on the different situations affecting women in the culinary sector, providing added value in the form of new knowledge as possible alternatives to the current situation, which will mark the strategies of the Association.
The women in this association come from different fields, and we find chefs, sommeliers, bakers, wine growers, entrepreneurs in the restaurant sector, producers, teachers, distributors and journalists specializing in the gastronomic area, reaching at this time the number of 425 associates.
