SPANISH SOCIETY OF NUTRITION (SEÑ)
The Spanish Society of Nutrition (SEÑ) was founded in 1978 with the aim of promoting and disseminating nutrition research in Spain. The multidisciplinary origin of its members, pharmacists, biologists, dietitians-nutritionists, veterinarians, physicians, nurses, etc. makes SEÑ a unique scientific forum that allows to address current problems of food, nutrition and health from a complementary perspective hardly possible in other societies.
Topics such as sustainability, food safety, loss of adherence to the Mediterranean Diet, precision nutrition, school lunchroom and childhood obesity are among the research of our members.
Among SEÑ’s activities are the organization of courses, forums and seminars, a biannual congress, scientific publications, position papers, etc., many of which emerge from the different working groups.
SEÑ is the Spanish member of the Federation of European Nutrition Societies (FENS) and the International Union of Nutrition Societies (IUNS).
